Job Description

Primary Purpose: To facilitate in imparting quality Pre-Primary education by utilising their expertise at all significant stages i.e. curriculum development & implementation, analysis and review.

Key Accountabilities/Activities: 

  • Responsible for quality of the content by reviewing the documents and give feedback to the CDs (All contents)
  • Research best practices and understand requirements from the boards for the creation of the base document (Mapping, Progression & Year Plans)
  • Responsible to finalise (sign off) the framework for the base document (Concept Mapping, Progression & Year Plans)
  • Ensure timelines are met for each subject
  • Mapping for digital integration
  • Review the existing curriculum for its effectiveness
  • Enlisting the recommendations for increasing its effectiveness
  • Research on the latest methodologies, resources, approaches for enhancing the effectiveness of teaching their respective subjects
  • Any other actionable that demands subject expertise at all significant stages i.e. curriculum planning, development, implementation, analysis and revision.

Work Relations:

 Internal:

  • For Approvals -Department Head
  • Updates & Reviews - Department Head

External:

  • Textbook and School Essentials - Publishers
  • Curriculum and Syllabi - Forums etc.

Desired Competencies:

  • Core expertise in subject knowledge
  • Eye for detail to ensure quality output on the final content
  • Learning agility and Research-based mindset
  • The quantum of feasible and constructive recommendations given for enhancing the effectiveness of the existing curriculum.
  • The appropriateness of the corrections suggested based on the review of the curriculum feedback received
  • Timely completion of the mapping of the curriculum
  • Minimum errors and rectifications in the base documents

  • A. Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • B. Effective interpersonal skills
  • C. Effective time management skills
  • D. Guiding & Mentoring skills
  • E. High Proficiency in Microsoft Office - MS Word & MS Excel skills. Advanced Excel skills preferred.
